My life revolves around Surfing and the ocean. The community and the friendships are an important aspect, as we are such a tight-knit group. Mentally, physically and spiritually the daily ritual of Surfing has given me peace and balance and set a simple course of direction that works for me. Riding waves is my art and the hundreds of images I have in my head helps me to continue to search for that next gem of a wave! I’ve been surfing for over 35 years. Right out of high school, I focused more on the Australian “Egg” movement and the Steve Lis, “Fish” style of boards. I became involved in long boarding in the late 80’s and later in the mid-90’s I was the competitive, team Coordinator for the Pacific Beach Surf Club. I re-opened P.B. Surf Shop in 1994 and have been doing that ever since!
